Speakers' profiles

Alrik Danielson has been the CEO of AB SKF since 2015. Alrik has held several executive positions at SKF between the years 1987 and 2005 including President of SKF Group's Industrial Division and a member of SKF Group's Executive Committee. He was a board member at the Czech branch of SKF between 1994 and 1996. He received his degree from International Economics and Economy & Law at the University of Gothenburg.

Victoria Van Camp is the CTO and President, Innovation and Business Development at AB SKF. She has been with SKF for more than 20 years. Her main topics of interest are digitalization, innovation and related research and technological development. She received her Mechanical Engineering degree at Luleå University of Technology in Sweden, where she also defended her doctoral thesis on machine elements.

David Poláček is the Managing Director of the Czech branch of SKF. He has been working at the company his entire professional career, starting in technical sales, international projects and worked his way up to his current position. He was already interested in engineering during secondary school and later graduated from the Engineering Faculty at the Czech Technical University in Prague. He gained experience at an engineering company in Austria and several Czech manufacturers during his studies. As a student, he spent a year abroad in Australia and perfected his English. He has been educating himself in systemic management for the past 7 years and is a casual woodcarver and a fan of the outdoors.

Tomáš Kozelský runs the Centre for Service and Vibration Diagnostics at SKF in the Czech Republic. There, he leads a team of diagnosticians and technical specialists and applies his more than 10 years of experience with the resolution of specific issues in manufacturing operations. He is currently focused on helping industrial companies implement online monitoring systems so that they can begin using digitalization to maintain means of production without the need for large initial investment. He received his degree from engineering technology and worked as a project manager at the manufacturing company Ostroj Opava.

Jan Vosátka has been the Group Technical Director at Wikov since 2013. Wikov is a leading manufacturer of industrial gearboxes and gearboxes for rail vehicles. After graduating from the Engineering Faculty at the Czech Technical University in Prague where he specialized in gearboxes for cars, he worked for a British construction and consulting office where he mainly participated on the development of gearboxes for cars. He then worked as the head of the entire construction department, which included development of combustion engines, gearboxes and vehicles. In the meantime he also worked for a global car manufacturer in Great Britain, where he was responsible for integration of manual gearboxes into passenger mid-size (D-class) cars. His main hobbies are his family, sports and youngtimers.

Jaroslav Lískovec is the Director of the National Centre for Industry 4.0. He was formerly the Strategy Director at the National Agency for Communication and Information Technology, which he had helped found for the Ministry of the Interior. Here his main focus was building a high-speed internet infrastructure for public administration using modern technologies to ensure safe operations of the state and provide cyber security. He also has experience with private business ventures in technology and gastronomy. Mr. Lískovec received his Economics degree at the University of West Bohemia and studied Entrepreneurship at the Brno University of Technology. He likes to spend his spare time researching modern technological trends, enjoys sports and spending time with his family.

Roman Bauer is an experienced professional in industry and consumer goods production as well as company services. He has proven experience as a manager and a consultant. He focuses on improving company processes, operations and customer excellence in key company functions. He worked as a production manager and production director for 11 years and as a management consultant for 10 years. He now works as Lean Manager for SKF Lubrication Systems CZ and is a certified Lean Six Sigma trainer for Pricewaterhouse Coopers. He created several projects in manufacturing, logistics and maintenance in the course of his career. His approach is based on leadership, influencing behaviour, systematic thinking and seeing the big picture from start to finish.

Stanislav Ryšan is now in charge of equipment reliability at Mondi Štětí a. s., a paper mill, where he started working as a Mechanical Maintenance Manager 12 years ago. Prior to that he provided support to key costumers as an Application Engineer and Head of Technical Services at SKF Ložiska a. s. for 12 years. He graduated from ČVUT FSI (Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at Czech Technical University in Prague) where he specialized in aircraft engines. He worked in this segment for several years and also gained practical experience with small water turbines. He considers his ability to find quick and often times non-traditional solutions to technical problems to be his strong suit. It is during those moments that his work becomes his hobby. However, his true hobby is travelling to non-touristy locations with his family.

Host

Radek Špicar has been the Vice President for economic policy and export at the Confederation for Industry of the Czech Republic for six years and is also the Chairman of the Management Board at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague. Formerly the Director of External Affairs at Škoda Auto, Mr. Špicar also served as the Deputy Minister for Economic Affairs of the Czech Republic. As part of his work in state administration he deals with issues concerning the competitiveness of the Czech economy, the job market, funding for science, research and export. He studied at Charles University and the University of Cambridge.

Simultaneous interpretation will be provided during presentations of English and Czech speakers, headphones will be available. The programme may be subject to change.
